Physical Health Services
Physical exams are provided for all residents who require one. Additionally, clients can access the medical clinic to address any physical complaints they may have. Episodic sick call visits are utilized for this purpose. Chronic health conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes are also managed by the Medical Department.
In order to meet the varied needs of our residents, the Medical Department has established relationships with many outside healthcare providers. Clients are transported to a nearby lab for bloodwork. Medical specialists can be accessed as needed. The medical staff, the client, and the client’s counselor are all involved in the decision to seek outside medical appointments. A Mobile Dental Van is onsite every two weeks to provide much needed dental services. HIV testing is also offered onsite monthly. HIV services are arranged with a specialist in a nearby clinic if they are required.
The Hours of the Medical Department are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 7:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
