Sandra (Sandi) Landsman leads the Human Resources Department and ensures that the organization continues to attract and retain top tier talent, create a thriving and engaged workforce and that best practices are followed. She feels that her unique talents will help employees to better understand how they contribute to the mission and how they can achieve their professional best.
Prior to joining, Sandi served as the Executive Director of Human Resources at New York Magazine and Media, where she was the Head of HR for the last 13 years. While there, she created the structure and strategy for the HR department, created more equitable and inclusive hiring practices, led professional development initiatives and efforts to increase employee engagement and understanding of the company’s history, goals and mission. She also was instrumental in the growth of the organization from 120 employees to 300 employees and its digital transformation as well as aligning the company with NYC charitable efforts. In addition, Sandi has also held leadership positions at other large publishing and media organizations.
Sandi earned her B.S. degree at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI and has continued her studies in Industrial and Labor Relations. She has also provided leadership training to executives and managers and is deeply committed to creating access in education and business for all people and has mentored minority students interested in publishing careers. Sandi is also an active volunteer at JDRF and Girl Scouts of the USA.
