Smoking Cessation Program
St. Christopher’s Inn has been a leader in providing a Smoking Cessation Program for clients in treatment for addiction since 2007. For many addicts, smoking is linked with drinking alcohol and using addictive substances. This is why providing encouragement and support to quit smoking, in conjunction with other chemical dependency treatment, comes squarely in to focus.
The Smoking Cessation Program is offered as a voluntary service for clients to simultaneously address their chemical dependency and tobacco addictions.
The program lasts 5 weeks, with one week of educational content presented to prepare for “Quit Day”, four weeks of support and graduation with a certificate of achievement. Smoking Cessation Participants have access to the Smoking Cessation Lounge, snacks, quit cards, an area to exercise with equipment and support from peers in the program, as well as alumni-graduates and staff.
