St. Christopher’s Inn Deepens Community Partnerships to Support Sustained Recovery

March 25, 2026

St. Christopher’s Inn recently welcomed leaders from the Philipstown Behavioral Health Hub for a visit focused on building relationships with like‑minded organizations serving the broader community, while also exploring opportunities to strengthen long‑term support for Brothers Christopher as they continue their recovery journeys after completing treatment. The conversation reflected a shared commitment to collaboration, mutual learning, and the thoughtful exchange of resources and expertise in service of individuals and families affected by substance abuse disorder.

The Philipstown Behavioral Health Hub is a community‑based initiative dedicated to connecting individuals with behavioral health services, peer supports, and local resources that promote access to care, stability, and overall well‑being. For St. Christopher’s Inn, engaging with organizations such as the Hub is an important way to remain connected to a wider network of nonprofits and providers working together to strengthen community health. These relationships create opportunities to share best practices, learn from one another’s experience, and offer mutual support in responding to complex and evolving community needs.

This spirit of collaboration reflects a shared understanding that long‑term recovery is sustained not by treatment alone, but through relationships, dependable programs, and a community that remains present well beyond a man’s time at the Inn. By cultivating strong partnerships with trusted community organizations, St. Christopher’s Inn remains a welcoming point of connection, helping men learn about local resources and supports available to them as they continue their recovery beyond their time at the Inn.

During the visit, Fr. Dennis Polanco, SA, Spiritual Director and President of St. Christopher’s Inn, offered a guided tour of the campus, highlighting the history, mission, and values that shape the Inn’s ministry. Guests visited the sober lounge, a welcoming space designed to foster connection; the chapel, which offers opportunities for prayer and reflection; and the dining room, a central gathering place that reflects the Inn’s emphasis on community, dignity and shared experience.

“Strong recovery communities are built through relationships rooted in trust, care, and shared purpose,” said Fr. Dennis Polanco, SA. “By spending time getting to know one another and supporting the work we each do, we strengthen the network of care that surrounds our Brothers Christopher and the wider community, and we affirm that recovery is sustained through connection and compassion.”
