The Legacy of “Bob the Farmer”
The St. Christopher’s Inn family mourns the loss of Robert “Bob the Farmer” Conboy, whose legacy will live on in the fields of San Damiano Farm and in the countless lives he helped transform. More than a farmer, Bob was a mentor, teacher, and source of hope for men on their recovery journey. Through his dedication and belief in the healing power of meaningful work, he helped shape San Damiano Farm into a living symbol of restoration, dignity, and second chances. Generations of our Brothers Christopher learned not only how to plant and harvest, but also how to persevere, take pride in their work, and believe in themselves again. Bob’s quiet leadership and compassionate spirit touched thousands of residents, visitors, volunteers, and donors. The seeds he planted, both in the soil and in the hearts of those he served, will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
