In the spirit of giving this holiday season, here are a few ways you can remember and support the Brothers Christopher at the Inn.

Christmas Donations for the Brothers Christopher – Shirts, Gloves, Hats, Boots

As we share our gifts with family and friends this holiday season, many of us are also considering ways to help others in need. At St. Christopher’s Inn, each year, the Brothers Christopher in residence through the holiday season receive gifts. Each man receives two collared shirts that they can wear during treatment hours. If you would like to contribute to this effort, we welcome donations of collared shirts in all sizes. In addition, as the winter weather sets in, donations of men’s coats, gloves, hats, and boots are always welcome.

There are many creative ways you can support the men in their recovery, so that this might be the last year they spend away from their families during the holidays. Call Christine Madera in our Mission Support Office at 845-424-2142 to discuss your Christmas donation.

Other Ways to Support St. Christopher’s Inn

Giving Accounts (Donor Advised Funds or DAF)

If you have a DAF/Giving Account, you can log in to your Giving Account and make your grant recommendation to St. Christopher’s Inn. Our Federal Identification Number (EIN) is 13-3668321.

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF), commonly known as a “Giving Account” is a philanthropic vehicle that allows donors to make a charitable contribution of cash, publically-traded stocks, and in some cases, certain liquid assets; receive an immediate tax benefit; and, then recommend grants from the fund over time.

DAFs can be easily set up through a variety of financial institutions. For more information on how to establish a DAF, contact your local community foundation or financial advisor.

Amazon Smile

When you go to Smile.Amazon.com and choose St. Christopher’s Inn as your charity, the Amazon Smile Foundation will donate a portion of all your eligible Amazon Smile purchases directly to the Inn—all you have to do is shop!

The nurses are the best part of my day.

The admission process was as fast and painless as it could be.

The medical staff is excellent, they treated me with love and care.

Overall the program and facility at St. Christopher’s Inn is the best, bar none.

Family program is PERFECT please don’t change a thing.

I took part in the GED program and was quite satisfied. I haven’t taken the test yet, but I have very high hopes of passing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the existence of the Coffee House. Music is a central and meditative part of my life. The ability to perform for my new brothers here and the staff was unexpected and made this an incredible journey.

Today, I am a sober man. I live an honest and simple life. I’m a reliable, employable productive member of society. I have dignity and self-worth and even self-love. All of these things are a direct result of the care and guidance given to me by the Friars and the staff at St. Christopher’s Inn. Some people call it a homeless shelter. I call it home.
